Gender Nihilism & Archetypes | Philosophy // Psychology | Carl Jung & Camille Paglia
Here out of instinct or grace we seek
soulmates in these galleries of hieroglyph and glass,
where mutual longings and sufferings of love
are laid bare in transfigured exhibition of our hearts,
we who crave deep secrets and mysteries,
as elusive as the avatars of our dreams.

These videos are so well done. Gebser's work also corresponds well with what he discusses in regards to the Eternality of the Great Mother and the consciousness of magical cultures. Frequently we find statutes with no eyes or mouths in these cultures, because the auditory sense was much stronger than the visual sense or the spoken word. Nature was all-encompassing and therefore the notion of "progress" did not exist.
I like Camille Paglia as well. She is one of the few 'feminists' who still makes sensible arguments and has a great appreciation of ancient mythology/religion and history.

Yeah, the consistently excellent production values of the videos, given the amount of effort that must go into it, combined with the quality of the discourse, is really impressive.

Btw, 'Thoughts on Thinking' also has a website ~ https://thoughtsonthinking.org/ ~ with transcriptions of the monologues in the videos. And while hesitant to promote the 'competition', there is also a link to a discussion forum pertaining to the ideas expressed in the videos/blog, which I've checked out, and found it not to my taste ~ never mind that the last thing I need is another excuse to be transfixed by the electron screen. However, some here may find it appealing, as it does seem to have a more political bent.
