Again, I believe the confusion arises from conceiving of MAL as having a temporal perspective rather than its proper eternal perspective. As an analogy, a vinyl phonograph record has all the songs on it at once, but individual songs can be played by positioning the needle at various locations. Of course, nothing new is added to the record as the songs are played. In a similar way, for MAL, all experiences, including thought forms, past, present, and future, are immediately present to itself. Novelty is experienced only from the limited perspectives of alters.
